Life is a series of decisions. Any one of them in isolation is of little or no significance. Attach that decision to a lifetime of others, and the result of any one can become pivotal. It is the effect of the threads pulling on all the other decisions that can mystically (or in current mathematical jargon “chaotically”) amplify a seemingly insignificant decision into a life-altering event.
The creation of each piece of glass, owing to the liquid and plastic phases of production, perfectly emulates the creation of the universe and collapses the grand experiment from all of time into a few hours. Each piece: another different universe. Each universe driven by a series of linked events that precludes an absolute prediction of the outcome because of the complexity of the whole.
With a background in physics, how could I not be drawn to such a perfect emulation of the greater laboratory in which I have studied?
